Description
The first part of my final work, the finishing piece of my studies in the Sara Hildén Academy!
Oh yes, about the name. This work has nothing to do with blackberries. The Finnish name of the triptych is “Takatalvi”, and it is the word for a sudden winter-like period interrupting the spring. (Suppose the straight translation would be “back-winter” or something like that.) I checked out “takatalvi” in Wikipedia, and the English definition for it appeared to be “blackberry winter”. So don’t blame me
This part of the triptych is probably my favourite. This is the second picture I drew. It was sometime at the end of March when I started it, and drawing it took me something like 2-3 weeks. I think it was this picture that killed my artblock, of at least played a big part in it. Colouring the soap bubbles started turning quite painful towards the end (srsly, they started coming out of my ears), but I guess I had fun otherwise :3

Takatalvi is one of the most beautiful words I've ever heard You did a great job! This looks awesome. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was: "wow" and the second: "I can learn from this" and really, it's cool to observe the coloring techniques you used. Thanks for uploading this on dA
